Mandalay Lake side, 3 bedrms, pool & chef

This villa is a gem of a property resting on a peaceful area of the massive Koggala Lake about 15 km from the historic town of Galle. It has a private jetty & it's possible to hire a boat with driver, to go on a sunrise or sunset cruise around the lake.

Situated in the small village of Kathaluwa on Lake Koggala, Mandalay comprises two separate pavilions, one for sleeping and the other for dining and entertaining. Both capture the spectacular views across the water to the mystical, uninhabited island of Madol Doova.

The 'sleeping pavilion' is built over the ground & first floor. The master suite is upstairs with floor to ceiling doors that open fully to reveal beautiful views across the garden and lake and there is also a private terrace. There is a tub in the bathroom as well as shower.

The other bedrooms - 1 king & 1 twin room - are on the ground floor. Both have en suite bathrooms with the one attached to the kind bedroom having an inside / outside component.

In between these two bedrooms, by the stairs, is a small seating area with a TV.

The tiled pool is gorgeous & has a sun deck facing the lake running its entire length. The other side of the pool is the dining pavilion that also has outdoor furniture for relaxing.

The kitchens are attached to this pavilion & a Chef is included.
