Located on Sri Lanka’s south coast, Celadon House is one of 3 stunning private villas. Celadon is at the top of the hill.
A vehicle cannot get up to it so guests either transfer to the villa tuk tuk, that can get to the top, or walk up the steps the final part. It's not overly taxing but I would suggest that anyone unfit, or having mobility or heart issues will be advised to use the tuk tuk.
The villa has breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean &, at the bottom of the hill direct, access to a swim friendly beach & surf break.
Sitting on top of the hill amidst palm and frangipani trees, Celadon House is a large airy 5 bedroom (4 doubles + 1 twin) villa that is quintessential quiet luxury. The design is inspired by Indian architecture while the chic, spacious interiors tastefully fuse Sri Lankan antiques with Indian fabrics and local handwoven jute rugs.
Named after the serene color of Celadon, the decor and colours are true to its name with their beautiful hues of green and blue.
Setting the stage for moments to remember is the majestic infinity pool flanked by graceful columns and bordered by a low cushion clad seating area. A jumping deck from the floor above is open for those who dare, and most do!
A poolside massage room is thoughtfully prepared with candles, incense and the best massage therapist on island.
The villa’s formal living room evokes laid-back luxury with stunning views providing the ultimate backdrop for relaxed socializing.
All 5 en-suite bedrooms are tastefully styled, generous in size and comfortable. Two have their own south facing verandahs offering extraordinary view of the ocean whilst the other 3 bedroom suites share a terrace.
Topping it all off is the rooftop, a breezy lounge area for yoga, meditation, morning coffee, afternoon tea, sunset cocktails & dinner.
